 17/10/2018 STEPS volunteer workshop
Time: 6pm (for 6:30 start)

Are you an engineer or studying engineering? Want to find out more about inspiring the next generation of engineers?

Engineers or engineering students interested in connecting with the STEPS volunteer programme, are invited to attend a volunteer workshop.

Schools taking part in the Young Engineers Competition are keen to learn more about what engineers do and how they impact on society. The STEPS programme connects engineer volunteers with local teachers who have requested school visits.

At the workshop, a representative from Engineers Ireland will deliver an interactive presentation for engineers about volunteering and visiting 3rd and 4th class primary schools– how and why to get involved, the latest resources for volunteers and information about matching with a STEPS registered school.

Engineers Ireland will be running a volunteer workshop in the Cork region on 17th October.

We are looking for volunteers to visit schools in their local area that are competing in the Young Engineers Competition.
